"Oliver Letwin MP ( Minister of State for the Cabinet Office ) was the Keynote Speaker at the House of Commons Global Launch event for Ecoisland on Tuesday 15th November. He was joined by in excess of 200 other Peers / MP's / CEO's and members of the IOW Community as they celebrated the success of the Ecoisland Vision and the progress they are making to becoming the First Sustainable Region in Britain. EcoIsland are working hard to make sure that the MESSAGE gets out loud and clear so that we can become a beacon of sustainability for the rest of the world. In a recent poll 100% of our database said they were in support of the Ecoisland Charter - a large version of which was signed at the House of Commons to signify the importance of the day. It is not every day that a Community takes its destiny back into its own hands and sets course for a more sustainable future."
